Some time back there used to be double deckers in bangalore and they phased away with time. I had been reading news reports that these will be reintroduced as a tourist attraction. You can have a Bangalore tour for Rs. 300. Guys hop in and see bangalore from the top of a double decker....
I need to do this myself, have been in bangalore for 10 years but not seen it all yet......
The traffic condition is so bad in bangalore that the pedestrians have to walk the tight middle path on the road. Dividers here have been doubling up as footpaths. The government here has been announcing too much infrastructure projects. Dekhte hain ki aam aadmi ke chalne ke liye jagah milegi kya.....
Hosur Road: The highway to "Electronics City" which houses the most of the IT and ITES industries in Bangalore. As you can see, traffic is almost come to a standstill. This picture was taken at 3:30 p.m. You can imagine what would the state be during peak hours. No wonder, businesses are diverting from Bangalore to other cities.
Thankfully, work has started on Hosur Road, widening the road... building an over head bridge for the entire stretch... This due to be completed by Dec 2009.
Till then, it's back to drudgery of the Traffic Jams!
